Austin: Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Office Painted with Pro-Choice Message

By Ed Dalton

Tribune of the People received images of the exterior of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office painted with the slogans, “The Courts won’t Protect Us!” and “Women will Defend Abortion Rights!”

Paxton is an extreme reactionary who has mounted years of assaults on the rights of women. Protests and direct actions have taken  place against his office in the past.

This small but symbolic action displays the fact that working women cannot  give up their struggle for rights due to the pandemic—the pandemic does not end the fight, it intensifies it! Working  women in  the city are beginning to realize that legal, domesticated activism will not ensure their future and many are beginning to show interest in the Popular Women’s Movement-Movimiento Femenino Popular, whose mandate is to mobilize women as a force for proletarian revolution!
